chill guy that really knows what he's talking about. He's quite humorous. Went to lecture and discussion occasionally. Should have gone more. Still got an A. Study guides available and you keep your exams. |

Gaston is a great guy, very fascinating and cares about his students. The class is really simple and you don't really need to come to lecture, but if you do go you'll find yourself really caring about what Gaston is talking about - he really knows his things! |

This class is incredibly useless and so terrible. If you like to learn, don't take this class. You learn absolutely nothing in lecture, you will be among the most unmotivated people at school and you'll be doing work you don't care about for the whole semester. Discussion is mandatory and pointless, you learn literally nothing this whole semester |

He keeps lecture entertaining, but often goes on tangents which have nothing to do with class. He skips back and forth through his material and it's sometimes difficult to keep track of the meaningful information for the exam. The textbook readings really help. |

Easiest class of my college career. Went to lecture twice. Went to discussion three times. Grade? A. Still, Gaston can be a tool. He does frustrating and arbitrary things like take down study guides at random and **** at people who email with questions. If you don't want to be asked questions, don't take the study guide down before the final, man. |

great prof.-- his courses are fascinating and he has a great sense of humor. The class is simple: all the tests are online/open book, exams are multiple choice, he makes exam study guides, and there's only 2 papers. Class isn't mandatory, but if you don't go to class, definitely do all the reading if you want to be prepared for the exams. |
