I was born and raised abroad, the son of US Diplomats and then had a career in the military and foreign affairs with the US Department of State, retiring as the Policy Adviser on Disaster Management. I also served as UN Affairs Director for a British non-profit and did consulting in Africa. In addition, I've written over thirty non-fiction articles and several books.
