I am a social worker with over 20 years' experience working with children. I have enjoyed tutoring in both the home setting and the after school classroom. Regardless of the subject, I find the most effective way to achieve positive results is to first determine what type of learner a child is, whether visual or auditory. Based on experience I have learned some students learn better when information is presented to them visually and some learn better when things can be explained thoroughly.
