I began teaching while preparing my Masters degree in TESOL and continued to do so in various countries. I taught Arabic and English in an airline in Jordan then at Aramco in Saudi Arabia. After the Gulf War, I came back home to teach for the Government, then became teacher trainer, then head of a department until 2006. Then I started teaching all levels of Arabic and Levantine dialect at American University until 2016.
