How to get an "A" in KNES 350 with Jo Zimmerman: 1)Show up to class EVERY DAY and take the clicker quiz. 2)Put at least some effort into the paper (everyone gets an "A" if you follow instructions). 3)Study the and memorize the highlighted slides before each exam. Yes the class is dull but it's an simple "A" if you put some effort into it.
I dont know what the other kids are talkin about. Yes it was an 8am but if your in college stop complaining. Her clicker quizes are pretty simple and you can use everyone around you to help out. The exams arent all the difficult she gives you big hints if you go to the courses whats going on the exams.
These previous ratings are ridiculous. She is a great teacher, and she tries very difficult to help you out. Yes, there are clicker tests, but why be in college if you're going to complain about coming to class? Most of the questions, she practically gives the answers. And the exams are simple, just study the slides.
I took her 8am psych sport class. SOOO dull. You have to go to class and do the clicker tests that she does just about all the time. Her exams are a bit tricky so you have to read the chapters and study her power points to do well. Not much work outside of the exams though.
Took 3 week summer course. Not much work involved. Seemed like she friendlya just made up an assignment on the spot and had us turn them in the next day Weren't really difficult assigments though. 2 of the 12 days we were in the gym and 2 days for mid year exam and final. In total it was like 8 days of actual class. Pretty simple A for a summer course.
prof. Zimmerman is the worst teacher that I have had at UMD so far. She reads straight from the power point courses, and makes what could be potentially fascinating information, dull. She is also disorganized and completely useless when it comes to using any online tools for her class. Avoid if possible. |
