Please disregard the comment below me. He does NOT read from a book but his own notes meticulously self constructed from a wide array of sources. He has to move fast to cover the material in lecture but you are supposed to expand your notes after class. Overall he is one of the most knowledgeable teachers on military history out there.
Great class, one of the great I have had. He is tough, but if you actually want a great education then absolutely take it. great guy, great teacher I have ever had. Go to lecture, period.
great prof., and great class I have ever taken. I don't care if military studies isn't your thing, it should be required of every student. The things you learn can be applied to every aspect of life. Its difficult, but very much worth it
Talented lecturer. He knows how to manage time and focus on material. He delivers a superb education. Grading is impartial, he expects quality. If you love learning, you'll love the class. If you don't want to think difficult and gain new perspectives, or if you just want a casual study of history, do not enroll here. He will fail you if you deserve it.
Knowledgeable and at the forefront of his field. One of the most qualified teachers I have ever had. Difficult class, but I believe it should be that way. Regardless, if you read and go to lecture, there is ample opportunity for an A. Believe me, I am NOT the difficulexam working student and I did it. If you like military history, don't think twice.
very knowledgeable. Has a sneaky sense of humor. Definitely a class that you need to pay attention and take detailed notes, as there is no textbook. Be prepared to read a lot of dense and rather dull material (unless you enjoy history). |
