Useless prof.. Made outlines in the slideshows that described the material we had to cover, and often deviated. Went on irrelevant tangents, and talked to hear his own voice. Learned more from the TA than from the prof.. In studying, had to completely rely on ebook he wrote (which was incompatible with most peoples' software).
He was a great teacher who really knew what he was talking about. The exams were simple for people with common sense who took a little time to study. He really understands psych and clearly outlines what is important for the course. The TAs were awful, but I liked Smith. Also the exams are 81% of your grade, I thought it'd be scary but it went well
If you don't mind his monotone voice and very dull voice, then I would think carefully about taking this class. Find another prof.. I attended ALMOST every lecture because of the pop tests, but didn't even need to go. Just read the chapters (if you can stand that) and you will be fine.
terrible Teacher. All he does his mumble and go off topic the entire class. exams are impossible. You have to read his stupid book that he wrote him self ($120) and it's an e-book. exams cover about 6 chapters worth of material so it's difficult to know everything. TA's are useless. TAKE ANOTHER prof. PLEASE! SAVE yourself from the boredom.
Prof Smith doesn?t give horribly fascinating courses but does summarize well. The course was graded on a curve which helped offset all material that had to be studied. Don?t take if you have problems staying awake or can?t keep up on reading.
so awful. so so so awful. hopefully you'll get a great ta, because literally all he does is stand up there and talk straight from the textbook (which is even more dull than he is.) the class would be bearable if you could skip most of the courses, but of course he has pop tests to keep you there, suffering. avoid at all costs. |
