This guy is great. He is friendly Indian man who genuinely cares about the subject. He posts all of his powerpoints online so missing class is not ever an issue. Occasional problem sets due, but lowest 2 grades are dropped. Great teacher.
Great class and the great prof. I have had on campus. You will learn a lot of real life economics. Take it - if you can. The class has more students on waitlist than enrolled in the class. I liked the class and the teacher.
At first, I was really his teaching style. But then I noticed that he raises his voice at the students. I find this unacceptable. I was probably not the only one afraid to answer a question in class and be wrong. He comes off too strong and that creates tension in class. BUT I think the content of the class will help us in our future careers.
Very great prof.. The class can get a little dull, but try to go if you struggle with the concepts. A lot of the things came simple to me, so the tests and exams were just basic economics to me. The final presentation is a grade booster. My group started two days before it was due and we got an A. Just work difficult on it and you'll be fine.
Dr. Sarna is a great prof! He explains the material very clearly and will not move on until majority of the class understands the topic. Requirements for this class are 7 online hw's (drops two), 2 exams, and a final. Prof Sarna does not curve but it is very simple to get an A in his class! |
