i dislike giving bad reviews here, but this guy is just miserable. for teaching such an fascinating literary time period, he makes the class unbearable and just isn't a very great teacher. seems very knowledgeable but just really has no idea how to teach/lead a discussion. really just avoid at all costs, he can potentially ruin literature for you |

easily the worst english teacher i've had at maryland. stay far away! he is very condescending and is a rough grader; he gives tough paper topics for a 200 level class. he judges you if you miss a class, &heaven forbid you give a wrong answer when you raise your hand, he will make you feel stupid. he is just mean and impossible. avoid at all costs! |

Took his class Fall 08.. It was really dull. There's A LOT of reading expected & reading tests.I had 2 rely on Sparknotes. He does seem to know quite a bit about the subject and he's a impartially friendly guy. But beware, he might bore u to death or the reading will first. 1 friendly thing about him was he would take late work&just drop a few letter grades |
