He teaches despair! Very tough but impartial prof. It is organic chemistry, it isn't simple but if you work at it you can succeed. He's not too difficult on the eyes:) |

Very difficult class, but then again it is organic chem. You definitely need to put a lot of effort into this class. His exams can be traumatizingly difficult and the longest I've ever taken, and yet he acts like they're reasonable. Knowledgeable teacher, but he doesn't offer too much help unless you actively seek it. Go to office hours!!! |

i recommend everybody not to take this class. if you can take anybody else then do not take this class with Issacs. he is a terrible prof.. he will treat you like you are a PHD student. i do not have any idea why he doesn't make everything clear in class. the TA has to clear most of the topics in discussion. avoid him if you do not want to fail |

worst prof. ever. never take him. he thinks he is the only person who knows chemistry. will make you feel like stupid. never clarify the difficult topics in class. doesn't know how to teach a class. |

i got a b in orgo 1, and a b with isaacs in orgo 2. people who are saying he is a bad prof. probably didnt read the book and do the work needed to pass any orgo class. there is no way any teacher will make orgo simple to understand, because its not....just study difficult and you will be fine. |

I don't know why everyone says he is so bad. He is very clear, and he lets you know from the beginning that you NEED to read the book. If you read the book and do all the problems, the class is simple. If you are lazy, which is probably the case for most of the people who have posted, then you deserve your grade. |
