Elgibali is fantastic. 402 is a translation course, and I learned so many valuable skills from him. He is very experienced in the field of translation, so this is a course that you'll definitely want to take!! And he does a great job at keeping the class fascinating. He jokes around here and there, and is very pleasant.
This is a great course on how Arabic is used in the media to shape public opinion in dictatorships. The prof. is absolutely terrific and is a master of his trade. I can only recommend this course for any one who wants to understand the Arab world. Elgibali rocks.
We are a group of 15 students in this class. When prof. Elgibali was pulled out by some silly dean to teach another course in the middle of the semester, we were devestated. He was by far the great prof. we all had. He is simply a master teacher and the great. If ever you have the chance to take a course with him, seize the opportunity.
