Vanguard Comes to Smith
An Excellent Employment Opportunity Event!

Didn't make it to the Smith Career Fair and really regretting it? Business Week was a phenomenal week-long event, but your chance for a summer internship has not passed. SUSA has been continuing to organize speaker series and experiences that may improve business students' self-marketing skills.
A rare and special occasion will be taking place on Thursday, September 24th at 6:30 PM in VMH 1524 (dress is business casual). Vanguard will be sending two speakers to address all Smith students. John Kane, Manager of the Fund Financial Services, and Joe Vardaro, Senior Investment Analysis for the Portfolio Review Group, will represent Vanguard in sharing information about employment opportunities, recent economic trends, the lifecycle of the current recession, and prospects for economic recovery. As we never cease to panic in regards to the economic turmoil that plagues the United States' finance industry, in particular, this is an incredible opportunity to explore our options.
Some points that SUSA wishes to highlight about this event are that Vanguard hires within every major and that they are actively seeking undergraduates to hire for paid, full-time internships and jobs. Students can view additional information on HireSmith and have the option to RSVP for the event, although it is not mandatory. Just as an added incentive for attendance, a $150 gift certificate to the University Book Center and two $25 iTunes gift cards will be raffled off! Being proactive is a significant part of the recruiting and interview process, especially for business students. This Vanguard event can open many doors for Smith students, so please tell all of your fellow business majors about it and bring your friends!
