Some of these reviews are outrageous. Her classes are certainly hard. However, she made herself available for any help I needed and her stories are relevant when you consider the concept she is discussing. If you want an easy A, don't take her class. I'm sure she'll be thankful for it. If you want to put in work similar to what you'll deal with outside of the hand-holding of college, take her class. You'll be thankful for it. She is an "old-school" professor. Sure, she uses Powerpoints, but she expects you to work for the grade you want and a Powerpoint is one of the many tools you'll need. |

This is a great advanced studies core class, but if you have a very big work load already I don't recommend it. Yes, she is strict about attendance, but generous with guidance and assistance. You should be prepared for the exams-they're difficult and sometimes oddly worded. But overall, no big complaints, she definitely knows her things. |

Yes, she is strict. Class can be dull and exams are difficult. Papers are graded impartially especially if a decent writer. I always got 100%, you just have to follow directions. She wants students to do well and repeatedly tells everyone to email or stop by office if they need help. You will need to do a lot of learning on your own/book. |

She's totally nightmare!! I dislike her! she can't teach, she's so dull and not fascinating, and if you do not have, don't take her courses! |

Just do your work, you will get thru it. Don't act like she is there to cater to you. Its really hit or miss. I had her for MANY of my courses- so I got used to it. Just do what she tells you to do, read the slides, and attempt to listen/participate and you walk away with a B. Turn papers in Early- do exactly what she says to them. Not that difficult |

she is very socialist and dislikes capitalism, and America. she is very condescending as well. She critiques your papers by leaving comments that are not grammatically correct and will even write "LEARN how to write!!!" how unproffesional |

I feel the reviews are a bit rough, heres the deal: Yes you have to go to courses, Yes you have to read the book (which was painful mind you). Yes she likes to talk about cities (Because that is what the courses are about). I barely read the book and went to class, the term paper is dry. BUT she has an optional turn in draft date so simple grade |

Class was mediocre, not horribly dull or fascinating, just ok. the real problem is with her papers. She's really unclear about what she wants and you have to keep meeting with her to get her to be perfectly happy...and then she changes her mind. B+ |
