Retired attorney, back to running her household full-time with some nonprofit work on the side. I am also a wheelchair user, and live with my husband, our teenage daughter, and our beloved cat. I'm seeking an administrative assistant to come to my home to aid in office tasks, specifically dealing with incoming mail, technologic communications, online tasks, and written documentation. (No housework is expected - I have a weekly housekeeper, as well as an aid who works with me for a couple of hours each morning for personal assistance, and she tidies as well.)Functions include: * Sort through incoming physical mail and email for actionable items versus trash* Toss or delete trash, transcribe dictated responses to actionable emails or texts in real time, fill out actionable paperwork, and otherwise handle incoming mail and email by printing and/or filing as needed* Data entry, including (1) managing an Excel spreadsheet that tracks reimbursement from insurance carrier for out of network medical expenses and (2) categorizing various expense line items uploaded into banking software (Banktivity - the default banking program used by Mac users)* Appointment scheduling* Other duties around the office and apartment as neededYou'll be learning a lot of details about both me and my family. It's assumed and expected that confidential matters will be handled with discretion and professionalism.Job Hours/Details: * Approximately between 6 and 9 hours per week, with room to grow if appropriate. The ideal client could do a few hours three days a week (M, W, F), but consolidating the hours to 1-2 days a week works if the candidate fits. Requirements: * Must be fluent in English * Must be physically capable of writing, typing, carrying and moving items * Must have reliable transportation* A quick study who shows initiative is a plusPay/Benefits: $15-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
