Just when you think that Apple has reached their peak, they outdo themselves again with the launch of a new product.

On March 11, Apple released the iPad 2, the upgrade from the original iPad. New features of the iPad 2 include a thinner and lighter design, faster processing, and a ten hour battery, according to their website.

"I didn't really understand the hype behind the iPad," said junior communications major Brian Davis. "I held out on buying one until the iPad 2 came out, and now I can barely put it down. I didn't realize just how much you can do with it; it's awesome."

As a result of such high demand for the iPad 2 in the U.S., Apple announced its release in an additional 25 countries on March 25. There are also plans to release the iPad 2 in Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore in April, according to their website.

"Apple never ceases to amaze me," said junior economics and communications major Jackie Sharp. "I love all of their products so I'm excited to see how well they are doing and this huge expansion to other countries."
