Do you like golf? Do you want to improve your game? Do you want to make connections with recruiters for some of the biggest names in business? If so, then the Business Golf Club is for you.
The Business Golf Club is kicking off its third year, and the club is currently accepting new members. No experience is required, the club accepts players at all skill levels. The only requirement to join is to pay the $20 club membership fee.
Ben Becker, the club’s president, said that the club will begin renting out mats at the university golf course’s driving range. The club plans to rent out the mats each Thursday. Club members can come down and practice their swings.
The club is also planning three golf tournaments. The first tournament, the Winter Thaw, is on March 9. It will feature over 40 club golfers. The Club Championship, the club’s largest event, will be on April 13.
Becker said that recruiters from big name firms and corporations will be visiting club events. Companies including KPMG, Deloitte, Citi, Morgan Stanley, and Ernst and Young will be sending out recruiters throughout the club’s season. Becker said that playing a few rounds of golf with a recruiter is an easy way to impress him or her and stand out from the competition.
